DANVILLE — Raymond E. Fox, 73, of Danville, passed away at 11:48 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
He was born July 14, 1940, in Covington, Ind., a son of Albert E. and Nellie Marie Hall Fox.
He is survived by his significant other, Barbara Miller; his children, Daniel E (Robin Minton) Fox of Danville, Karen S. (Chris) Leeke of Bristol, Ind., Joe A. (Susan Lovette) Fox of Danville, Lucille L. (Randy) Sharer of Danville, Amber (Caleb) Hoover of Terre Haute, Ind., Frank (Casi) Spencer of Collison, Brandi Raelynn (Nate) Jacobs of Gulfport, Miss., Patrick J. Benson and Timothy Benson, both of Erie, Pa; two sisters, Bertha Jennings in Arkansas and Mary Slaughter of Reno, Nev.; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Jasmyn Marie Easterday; two brothers and two sisters.
Raymond was a retired roofer. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, spending time with his grandkids and riding his lawnmower.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at Lone Oak Church of Christ with Charlie Strange officiating. Burial will be in Atherton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Lone Oak Church of Christ. Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation.
