Helen Blanche Bann, 83, of Danville, died 12:30 a.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home in Tilton.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, at Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams, Danville, with Pastor Thomas Miller officiating. Visitation: 10-11 a.m. Friday at Pape’s. Entombment: Sunset Mausoleum.
Memorials: New Life Church of Faith, 1419 N. Bowman, Danville.
Helen was born Jan. 18, 1930, in Tilton to Ray and Blanche Williams Hamilton.
She attended Diamond Grade School and graduated from Oakwood High School in 1947. She had worked for Illinois Printing and had been a life member of Vermilion Heights Methodist Church.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and reading. She loved spending time with her family and especially with her grandchildren and her dog, Daisy.
Helen married Charles Thomas Bann on Nov. 8, 1952, in Danville. He preceded her May 18, 1989.
Survivors: daughters, Elaine (Richard) Powell and Cathy (Richard) Williams; grandchildren, Andrew, Stacie and Richard Powell Jr., and Richard and Michael Williams; and great-granddaughter, Maren Powell.
