Michael Hinchman, 61, of Danville, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville.
A Masonic service by Catlin Masonic Lodge 285 will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at Pape Family Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams St. in Danville, with funeral services immediately following. Kent Pitcher will officiate. A visitation will be for two hours prior, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday at Pape’s. Burial will be in Atherton Cemetery.
Michael was born on Dec. 18, 1952, in Danville to Albert and Alice Hinchman.
Michael attended Westville schools, graduating from Westville High School in 1972. Michael worked at many factories in his life, including more than 15 years at Hyster and 10 years at AutoZone. He enjoyed fishing, going to the shooting range and spending time outdoors. He also enjoyed watching the History Channel and old movies. Above all else, Michael enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Michael married Shirley Bostwick on March 22, 1974, in Danville at First Church of the Nazarene, and she survives.
Also surviving are their three children, Michael (Sheri) Hinchman, Joel (Brandy) Hinchman and Tracy Meyers; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Albert (Diane) Hinchman Jr.; and two sisters, Victoria (James) Klein and Debra (Timothy) Sellers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, David Hinchman, and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
