Lois Marie Flessner, 82, of Danville, passed away at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, Jan 14, 2014, at Danville Care Center.
She was born on May 1, 1931, in Newell Township, the daughter of William A. and Rosa Linne Kinney.
She married William F. Flessner on July 1, 1973. He preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 2012, after 39 years of marriage.
Survivors include two stepsons, Darryl Flessner of Danville and Dave (Judy) Flessner of Montrose; a step-daughter-in-law, Lori Flessner of Oakwood; nine step grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; one niece; five nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one stepson, Ronald Flessner; three brothers; and two sisters.
Lois graduated eighth grade from her one-room schoolhouse, Lamb School, and attended Bismarck High School. She had worked for Steel Grip in Danville and later as a custodian at Walgreens Accounting office. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville. She loved music and was a very good singer. She liked flowers and was a big animal lover. Most of all, she loved her family.
Funeral services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville, with the Rev. Michael K. Heidle officiating. Burial will follow in the Danville Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
