SIDELL — Randall “Tonka” Scott Thomas, 40, of Sidell, passed away at his home Monday, May 20, 2013.

Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sidell United Pentecostal Church in Sidell. Pastor Tim Pearman will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Indianola. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the church.

Randall was born on Jan. 4, 1973, in Danville, a son of Ricky and Barbara Kistler Thomas.

He married Ami Wilson on Nov. 10, 2012, in Sidell. She survives.

Also surviving are children, Austin and Alli Lutz; a brother, Ricky (Dana) Thomas Jr. of Sidell; sister, Angela Hamilton of Indianola; in-laws, Jeff and Debbie Wilson; and extended family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara; and a sister, Calista Thomas.

Randall was a truck driver. He enjoyed listening to music and playing the drums. He loved his family dearly and loved spending time with them.

Many were inspired by his positive attitude during his fight with cancer. He stayed employed and despite suffering from cancer, always thought of others first. Joines-Appleby Funeral Home of Newman is in charge of arrangements.
