John R. Balch, III, 33, of Danville, passed away at 12:59 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013, at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 16, 1980 in Danville, a son of John R. and Sharon Kay Taylor Balch, Jr.
He is survived by his father, John R. Balch, Jr. of Indianapolis; his mother, Sharon Gillespie of Danville; sisters, Lanetta Michelle (Lorenzo Davis) Smith and Kimberly Kay (Jason) Root-Sasseen both of Danville; nieces and nephews, Shannon Balch, Kayla Balch, LaCanda Smith, Tanner Root, Sophia Sasseen and Brennan Sasseen; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his Sissy’s special Bubby.
John was a Westville High School graduate and worked at Crosspoint Human Services in Day Training. He was a member of Central Park Church of Christ. He loved watching movies (Lethal Weapon), being with his family, going to church and going to work.
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 22 at Central Park Church of Christ, with Wade Martin officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery in Ridge Farm. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Central Park Church of Christ.
