Toni L. Barnes, 54, of Tilton, passed away surrounded by those she loved at 6 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville.
She was born Nov. 30, 1958, in Danville to Walter and Sandra Steenbergen Barnes.
Survivors include her father, of Crawfordsville, Ind.; her life partner, Paulette Parrish; one son, Matthew Darnell of Tilton; one daughter, Danneil (Joe) Watson of Hindsboro; two brothers, Donald (Kristine) Barnes of Thorntown, Ind., and John David Barnes of Columbus, Ohio; four sisters, Tracy (Kenny) Overshiner of Westville, Marti (Steve) Thompson of Danville, Becky Porter of Danville, Ind., and Brenda (Dave) Taylor of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Mason Weller and Ainsleigh Watson; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends; and one grand-dog, Ming Lin.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra; one brother, Randy Barnes; one sister, Tammy Amore; her aunt Marna; and her grandparents.
Toni served in the Army and was a cook at several local restaurants. She enjoyed camping, fishing, playing dice, being with family and friends and loving her grandkids.
Memorial services: 1 p.m. Friday at Robison Chapel in Catlin, the Rev. Kevin Cox to officiate. Visitation is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Robison Chapel in Catlin.
