Frank Thomas Fink, 57, of Hoopeston, passed away at 11:20 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013, at his home in Hoopeston.
He was born Oct. 26, 1955, in Danville, the son of Harry Eldon and Ruth Agnes (McGinley) Fink.
He married Ida Maria Molina on Feb. 23, 1996, in Danville. She survives in Hoopeston.
He also is survived by one daughter, Linda (Daniel) Lugo Jr. of Hoopeston; two brothers, David (Pam) Fink of Union, Iowa, and Gary (Joyce) Fink of Hoopeston; four grandchildren, Daniel, Lucy, Libby and Leo Lugo; one niece, Kim Fink; and three nephews, Gary (Amy) Fink Jr., Greg (Stacey) Fink and Andy (Sheana) Fink.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Frank worked as a custodian at several area businesses, including Silgan Containers Corp., ConAgra, Hoopeston Area schools, Hoopeston Hospital and Anthem Chevrolet. He also was a custodian at Hoopeston First Presbyterian Church. He later worked in the maintenance department at Heritage Manor Rehabilitation & Senior Living in Hoopeston.
Frank was a great neighbor, always lending a helping hand. He enjoyed gardening, golfing, fishing, swimming with his grandchildren, going to area garage sales and taking trips to Wal-Mart. Frank’s greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St., Hoopeston. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Anderson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Wade Meranda officiating. Following the funeral service, per his wishes, he will be cremated.
