WESTVILLE — Henry J. Schaeffhold, 95, of Westville, passed away at 2:50 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at Gardenview Nursing Home in Danville.
Henry was born May 19, 1918, in Westville to Ignatz and Mary Bernard Schaeffhold.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews and special friend, Father John Paniski.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Henry was a truck driver for 24 years for Phillips Laundry and owned and operated Skills & Hank’s Tap in Westville and retired from the State of Illinois as Foreman & Section Boss. He was a member of St. Isaac Jouges Catholic Church in Georgetown. He served as a Westville village trustee for 10 years and was a Republican precinct committeeman for eight years. He served three years on the Westville-Belgium Sanitary District and was a volunteer at CRIS Senior Services. He was an avid Westville/Schlarman sports fan.
