Christy Jo Williamson, 56, of Danville, passed away at 4:26 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at her home.
A prayer service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, at Pape Family Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams, Danville, with the Rev. Loftus officiating. Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sunset Cemetery in Danville.
Christy was born on June 6, 1957, in Danville to Robert and Mary Starkey.
She attended Danville area schools and went on to work at JC Penney as a sales clerk. Christy enjoyed reading, and even after she couldn’t anymore, she listened to audiobooks. She also loved to play games on her computer.
She married Robert Eugene Williamson on Nov. 11, 2001, in Danville; and he survives.
Also surviving is a son, Joshua Sanders of Camillus, N.Y.; four stepsons, Michael Williamson (Angie) of Westville, Robert Williamson Jr. (Sherri) of Tolono, Paul Williamson of Hegeler and Adrian Verhoevan of Danville; two stepdaughters, Destiny Lake of Hegeler and Aja Feazel (Josh) of Bloomington; and her siblings, Robert Starkey of Oakmont, Calif., Steve Starkey (Nancy) of Perrysville, Ind., Sandy Petteway (Mike) of Winston-Salem, N.C., Barbara Talbert of Cameron, N.C., Pat Testa of Fort Worth, Texas, and Marlene Stevens of Sikeston, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
