---- — INDIANOLA – Lois L. Hoskins, 80, of Indianola, passed away at 8:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at her home.

Lois was born on Dec. 6, 1933, in Catlin, the daughter of Harry “Red” and Jennie M. (Buckellew) Anderson.

She married James Hoskins on Jan. 18, 1958, in Paris, Ill. He survives.

She also is survived by two daughters, Marsha (Don) Lamberson of Milton, Tenn. and Cindy L. Fazio of Georgetown; four sons, Thomas E. Sparks of Clover, S.C., J. Michael Hoskins of Portland, Tenn., Jeffrey L. (Bettina) Hoskins of Georgetown and Jerome E. Hoskins of Georgetown; three brothers, Howard (Sue) Anderson of Catlin, Harry D. (Linda) Anderson of Virginia and Hugh A. Anderson of Illinois; two sisters, Thelma Barnes of Danville and Regina Brown of Georgetown; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harold Anderson; sister, Betty Pate; and a great-granddaughter, Kylie D. Hoskins.

Lois attended Catlin High School. She worked for over 25 years at GE in Danville, until she retired in 1984. She enjoyed reading, sewing, playing with her dogs and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded by the Wolfe-Blurton Funeral Home in Hoopeston. Services will be held at a later date. The family has entrusted the Wolfe-Blurton Funeral Home in Hoopeston to assist them in honoring Lois’s life.
