HENNING — Willis Duane Bohannan Jr., 56, of Henning, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, at Pape Memorial Home, 10 E. Williams St. in Danville, with a graveside service immediately following at Allhands Cemetery.

Willis was born on June 7, 1957, in Peoria to Willis and Patricia (Chase) Bohannan.

He was raised in Danville by Jim and Dorothy Mitchell, where he attended Danville grade schools and Danville High School, graduating in 1975.

Willis enjoyed cannons, fishing, stock cars, watching the races and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He had worked at Combe Laboratories as a mechanic since 1984.

Willis married Doris Manes on July 1, 1978, in Henning, and she preceded him in death earlier this year.

He leaves behind his two children, Patricia (Kris) Eisenberg and Nova (Abbie Howie) Bohannan; four grandchildren, Cheyenne and Shawnee Eisenberg, Chelsey and Kali Bohannan; a sister, Connie Ditlow; a brother, Mike Bohannan; and step siblings, Bob Mitchell, Jim Mitchell and Rita Masters.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 34 years, Doris; his stepsister Sue Tesch; and several half brothers and sisters.
