Jeremiah Jay Wheeler, 33 of Danville, passed away at 11:52 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Pape Family Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams St., Danville. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Grape Creek Baptist Church with Pastor David Leary officiating. Memorials may be made to the Evan Wheeler Trust, an account setup for his son’s benefit.
Jeremiah was born on Aug. 8, 1980, in Danville to Pete and Christina (Norgaar) Wheeler.
He attended Northeast and Oakwood grade schools and Oakwood High School, graduating in 1998 and going on to take courses at DACC over the next couple years. He was a great track and cross country participant from fifth grade on.
Jeremiah was a carpenter for Carpenters Union 44, and attended both Second Church of Christ and Grape Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and ice skating.
Jeremiah leaves behind his parents, Pete Wheeler and Christina (John) Butchko; his two brothers, Jacob Wheeler and Josh (Carla) Wheeler; a nephew, Joshua Wheeler II; a niece, Whitley Wheeler; his paternal grandmother, Joan Wheeler; his son, Evan Wheeler; and his special dog, Teddy. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
