DANVILLE — John Charles Mayo, 67, of Danville, passed away at 3:05 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Hawthorne Inn in Danville.
He was born on July 1, 1945, in Whiteland, Ind., a son of George J. and Mildred Rosalie Lamar Mayo.
He married Kathy McBee on Nov. 15, 1991. She survives. Also surviving are his children, Jean Mayo of Newman, Johna Haulfactor of Kansas, Ill., and John Mayo of Brocton; a brother, Raymond Mayo of Hoopeston; a sister, Georgia Mayo; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five nieces; and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
John was retired from Berkley-Davis and had worked at Trident Machine Shop.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Central Christian Church, with Pastor Hank Anderson officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Private burial will be in Songer Cemetery in Tilton.
