Commercial-News

DANVILLE — Anthony Martin Fuentes Sr., 52, of Danville, passed away suddenly on the morning of Monday, July 8, 2013, at his home.

Our Tony was born July 17, 1960, at Lakeview Hospital in Danville, the son of Fausto C. and Jeanenne (Kelly) Fuentes. Both parents survive. He had been married and divorced.

He was the father of Anthony Martin Fuentes Jr. of Danville, Shiena Wilkins and Marco Gossar of Indiana, all of whom survive. Other survivors include his brothers, Matt and Mario Fuentes; and his sister, Angie Coffey, all of whom reside in Danville. Also surviving are his five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Tony attended Danville schools and was a 28-year employee of KIK in Danville, where he was well-respected for his dedication and aptitude for maintaining machinery.

We shared our Tony with an abundance of his friends who will greatly grieve the loss.

He was a down-to-earth man known as a Chicago Bears fan and a fisherman. His most favored pastime was music appreciation, which he enthusiastically shared with others. Tony was admired for his compassion and never turning away anyone in need. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

For the short period of time our Tony spent on earth, he warmly touched many hearts and will be very sadly missed through many a song for years to come.

A celebration of Tony’s life will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, at Sunset Funeral Home, with Pastor Wade Martin officiating, and burial at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. A visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, July 12, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville.

Condolences may be left at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
