Margie (Mathis) Miller, 84, of Westville, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, at The Village at Hamilton Pointe in Newburgh, Ind.
Margie was born Dec. 20, 1928, in Ashbyburg, Ky., to the late Vernie (Frasier) and Arlie Mathis.
Margie was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She had previously worked at Westville Junior High School as a cook. Margie also enjoyed crocheting.
Margie is survived by sons, Daniel Sickmeir (Judy) of Westville, and Randall Sickmeir (Debbie) of Evansville, Ind.; sister, Ruby Corbett of Evansville, Ind.; brother, Lloyd Mathis (Linda) of Evansville, Ind.; grandchildren, Matt Sickmeir, Jason Sickmeir, Ashley Sherman (Tony), Charlie Sickmeir (Denah Dannheiser) and Amanda Tapp (Layson); great-grandchildren, Will and Luke Sickmeir, Sawyer Sherman, Bailey and Brody Tapp and Avery Sickmeir; and nieces and nephews.
Margie was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Sickmeir in 1975; second husband, Loyd Miller in 2001; and sisters, Doris Young and Marvine Rhew.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. CST Wednesday, March 6, at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, Ind., with the Rev. Bob Cornell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
