FAIRMOUNT — Margaret “Peggy” Kollmeyer, 95, of Carmel, Ind., formerly of Fairmount, passed away at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at Clare Bridge of Carmel, Carmel, Ind.
Margaret was born Dec. 25, 1917, in Douglas County to David W. and Okalona Brewer Culton.
She married Tom Robert Kollmeyer on March 20, 1942, in LaGrange. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1992.
Surviving are one son, David (Nannie) Kollmeyer of Mooresville, Ind.; two daughters, Beth Bennett of Carmel, Ind., and Nancy Kups of Sarasota, Fla.; one brother, Albert Culton of Newman; one sister, Alberta Roth of Mattoon; five grandchildren, Stacey Swanson, Amy Kollmeyer, Lori Hammer, Marc Bennett and Lisa Bennett; and six great-grandchildren, Patrick Swanson, Morgan Kerberg, Reilly Jo Swanson, Kaya Dube, Benjamin Hammer and Andrew Hammer.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Keith Culton and Max Culton; and two sisters, Beryl Furnish and Betty Martin.
Margaret was a member of First Baptist Church and the Sixty Plus Club in Fairmount. She was a former secretary of the Sixty Plus Club. She was a former member of the Jamaica Historical Society and an avid reader.
Funeral services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Robison Chapel, Catlin, with the Rev. Mike Roberts officiating. Burial in: Newman Cemetery. Visitation: 1-2 p.m. Saturday at Robison Chapel, Catlin.
