Debra K. Johnson, 54, of Danville, passed away at 6:42 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at her home.
Debra was born on Feb. 25, 1959, in Danville, the daughter of Charles E. and Opal M. (Bloomfield) Pruitt.
She married David F. Johnson on Jan. 3, 1979, in Danville. He survives.
She also is survived by one daughter, Carol (Charlie) Thompson of Danville; two sons, Roger (Katrina) Johnson and Michael (Linda) Johnson, both of Danville; stepdaughter, Samantha Johnson of Danville; stepson, Ryan (Ashley) Tucker of Georgetown; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Roger Pruitt of Danville and Larry Pruitt of Stateline, Ind.; two sisters, Teresa (Lester) Moulton and Patricia Pruitt, both of Danville; mother, Opal Pruitt of Danville; and a nephew, Terry (Mint) Pruitt of Danville.
She was preceded in death by her father; and three grandchildren, Holly Johnson, Kelly Johnson and Shyanna Nelson.
Debra enjoyed watching stock car racing and mud wrestling when she was younger. Her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends.
A celebration of Debra’s life will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at Wolfe-Blurton Funeral Home in Potomac, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Newtown Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
