---- — WESTVILLE — Robert Mason Doggett III, 65, of Westville, passed away at 9:06 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at his home.
He was born April 14, 1948, in Danville, the son of Robert and Dorothy (Castleberry) Doggett Sr.
He was previously married to Charlene Erikson, who is still living, and later married Carla Barnes. She preceded him in death in 1997.
Surviving him are one son, Sean (Sandi) Doggett of Georgetown; two daughters, Staci (Wylie) McIntosh of Brownsburg, Ind., and Jami Doggett of Florida; one brother, Paul (Cindy) Doggett of Ridge Farm; four grandchildren, Hayden Doggett, Rece Doggett, Olivia McIntosh and Rachel McIntosh; several nieces and nephews; a special caregiver, Aida Harvey; mother-in-law, Thelma Barnes of Danville; and a special sister-in-law, Dena (Jesse) Jenkins of Westville.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and two brothers, Ken and Keith Doggett.
Robert graduated from Westville High School then began working at General Motors as an electrician where he retired after 30 years of service. He liked to travel and enjoyed watching his grandkids’ sporting events and spending time with his friends and family.
A celebration of life for Robert will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at the American Legion Post 51 in Westville. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville is in charge of arrangements.
