---- — HENNING — E. Pauline Paxton, 69, of Henning, passed away at 3:51 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Pauline was born on April 5, 1944, in Danville, the daughter of Fred and Edith (Ramsey) Johnson. She married Jerry Paxton on Feb. 20, 1962, in Danville. He survives.

Pauline and Jerry were married for 51 years and are survived by two daughters, Patty (Joel) Estes of Bourbonnais and Carol (Ryan) Esteppe of Potomac; two sons, Tim (Paula) Paxton of Rankin and Randy (Gail) Paxton of Henning; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ken (Robin) Johnson of Tilton; one sister, Alice (Arlyn) Miller of Danville; mother and father-in-law, Dorothy and Donald Paxton of Danville; several nieces and nephews; and several very special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Chuck and Russ Johnson.

Pauline worked at Steelgrip as a seamstress and she most recently worked at Wal-Mart in Danville, as a door greeter, until she retired in 2006. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping and crafts, especially crocheting. Pauline also enjoyed going with her sister to the casino and playing the slot machines. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

A Celebration of Pauline’s Life will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at the Wolfe-Blurton Funeral Home in Potomac, with Pastor Jeff Alexander officiating. Burial will follow the service at Danville National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, National Headquarters Donations, 6520 N. Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309; American Heart Association; or to the Potomac Church of the Nazarene. The family has entrusted the Wolfe-Blurton Funeral Home to assist them in honoring Pauline’s life.
