Charles G. Phillips Jr., 51, of Danville, went to be with the Lord at 4:20 a.m. on June 9, 2013, at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center emergency room, with his family by his side.
Chuck was born Sept. 15, 1961, in Catlin to Charles G. Phillips Sr. and Phyllis J. Phillips.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, both of his parents and an uncle.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Loretta (Lore Twigg); his daughter, Kayla Phillips and significant other, Josh Trussel of Danville; his stepdaughter, Courtney Cooper and her fiancée, Adam Janchenko of Romeoville; his son, Kyle of Oakwood; his sister, Mary Patterson of Terre Haute, Ind.; his niece, Nicole Patterson of Indianapolis; a very dear best friend, Bill Pritchard of Attica, Ind.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Chuck served his country in the National Guard and the United States Marine Corps.
Chuck enjoyed spending time with his family, going to car shows and stopping at every Harley-Davidson shop he came across. Chuck will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Staying with his wishes, cremation was chosen. Pape Memorial Home assisted the family with arrangements. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, in the Danville Veterans Memorial Park in Danville.
