Judith A. Lomax, 74, of Westville, passed away suddenly at noon Monday, May 13, 2013, in the emergency room at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center, Danville.
She was born April 18, 1939, in Broadlands, to Oscar A. and Marie A. Bixler Parliament.
Judith married Ted Burke in 1957, and later in 1969 she married Ronald Lomax.
Survivors include one son, Larry Burke of Westville; one brother, Michael (Deborah) Parliament of Danville; seven grandchildren, Ashley Burke Spain, Thaddeus Andracki, Evan Burke, Alex Burke, Travis Burke, Kia Burke and Elizabeth LeDoux; two great-grandchildren, Aidan Burke and Devin Spain; two former daughters-in-law, M. Lisa Burke and Carol A. Burke; and her dear friend, Jean Hoskins.
Judith worked at General Electric for several years and later for Walgreens accounting.
She enjoyed yard work, reading, bowling, collecting Fenton glassware and Hummel figurines, as well as teddy bears. She was an avid Cardinal fan and enjoyed her GE retiree luncheons.
Funeral services: 2 p.m. Thursday at Robison Chapel in Catlin, the Rev. Kent Pitcher to officiate. Burial in: Fairview Cemetery west of Sidell. Visitation is from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at Robison Chapel in Catlin.
