FAIRMOUNT — Blanche Marie Byerly, 86, of Fairmount, died at 6:44 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at Garden View Manor.
Services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at Pape Memorial Home, 10 E. Williams St., Danville, with Ed Lovett officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Blanche was born on Jan. 17, 1927, in Catlin to William and Phoebe (Hall) Byerly.
She attended Catlin schools and later went on to work for over 13 years at St. Elizabeth’s in housekeeping. Blanche enjoyed her family and friendships as well as knitting, crocheting and working in her garden. She was a big fan of country western music, especially the Grand Ole Opry.
Blanche is survived by her sister, Alberta Cessna; a niece, Anita Cessna; a nephew, Steve Cessna; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and her close friends, June Brewer and Marie McElroy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Raymond and Kenneth Byerly; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and a niece.
