Elizabeth Ann (Cirks) Workman, 71, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and formerly of Catlin and Momence, Ill., died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at her home.
She was born March 27, 1942, in Chicago Heights, Ill., to Enno William Cirks and Edna Haseman Cirks.
She married Robert S. Workman on Sept. 11, 1960, at First United Methodist Church in Momence. He passed away on Aug. 14, 1988.
Mrs. Workman had retired as an educational assistant at Belle Aire Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, where she was a member.
Survivors include a son, Thomas (Wife, Amanda) Workman of Woodbury, Tenn.; a daughter, Angie (Husband, J. Scott) Price of Murfreesboro; sisters, Edith (Kenneth) Grimes of Grant Park, Ill., Elsie Siebert of Grant Park, Erma (Elden) Mittag of Grant Park and Evelyn (Joel) Danker of Yorkville, Ill.; brothers, Eldon (Martha) Cirks of Aledo, Ill., and Edward (Patricia) Cirks of Mt. Zion, Ill.; grandchildren, Charles (Bodie) Workman and Kristen Skye Jones, both of Woodbury, Tenn., and Brandon Robert Ray of Murfreesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant son, Timothy Workman; a brother, Edwin Cirks; and an infant granddaughter, Isabella Sunshine Workman.
Services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at Grant Park United Methodist Church, with the Rev. J. Scott Price and the Rev. Tim Rhodes officiating. Visitation will be 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens in Aroma Township near Kankakee, Ill.
Memorials may be directed to Belle Aire Baptist Church Building Fund or to Odyssey Hospice in Nashville, Tenn. Arrangements are by Hub Funeral Chapel of Grant Park, Ill.
