VEEDERSBURG, Ind. —
Earl J. Wallace, 79, of Veedersburg, passed away 1:41 p.m. EDT Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Hospital in Crawfordsville, Ind.
He was born June 2, 1933, in Clinton, Ind., the son of Earl F. and Rose Wallace. They have preceded him in death.
Earl married Mary Ann Kazakevich Nov. 14, 1959, in Clinton, Ind.
Surviving family include his wife, Mary Ann Wallace, Veedersburg, Ind.; two sons, Michael Bryan (Donna) Wallace of Coatsville, Ind., and Glenn Matthew (Donna) Wallace of Veedersburg; three sisters, Margaret Gilman of Covington, Ind., Betty Bogetto of Lafayette, Ind., and Rosemary (Jim) Hughes of Gessie, Ind.; two brothers, Billie (Betty Lou) Wallace of Perrysville, Ind., and Darrell (Diana) Wallace, Gessie, Ind.; five grandchildren, Rochelle (Josh) Parson, Catlynne Wallace, Roslyne Wallace, Melissa Wallace and Douglas Wallace; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Earl graduated from Clinton High School in 1951 and served his country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany. He was employed at Allied Chemical in Danville for 30 years, retiring in 1986.
Earl and Mary lived in Covington, Ind., for 40 years. During this time, he was very active in the Little League program, the booster club and was involved in planting many of the trees around Covington. They have resided in Veedersburg for the past 13 years.
He enjoyed hunting when he was younger and able, fishing and watching many different sports. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Covington.
Funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. EDT Monday, April 8, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Covington, Ind., with Father Rasner officiating. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. EDT Sunday, April 7, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg, Ind. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Clinton, Ind.
