Caleb Mitchell Roch

Caleb Mitchell Roch, 20, of Champaign, passed away at 6:44 a.m. Wednesday, Thursday, June 18, 2008 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2008 at the Windsor Road Christian Church, 2501 W. Windsor Road in Champaign, with Rev. Randall Boltinghouse officiating. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery in Savoy. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, June 22 at the Windsor Road Christian Church. Morgan Memorial Home, 1304 Regency Drive West, Savoy is handling the arrangements.

Caleb was born Aug. 27, 1987, in Urbana. He was born to Chad and Sheila Frazier Roch. His parents, Sheila and Terry Walters survive of Champaign. Also surviving are one brother: Cameron Roch of Champaign; one sister: Chelsea Thrash of Champaign; one stepbrother: Lee (Candice) Walters of Tilton; one stepsister: Danielle Walters of Anderson, Ind.; maternal grandmother: Margaret Frazier of Champaign; stepgrandparents: Monty (Patricia) Walters of Danville; five uncles: Monty (Liz) Walters of Oregon, Patrick Walters of Danville, Ryan Roch of California, Terry (Jane) Frazier of Virginia and Scott (Pam) Frazier of Michigan; five aunts: Robin (Steve) Stewart of Michigan, Rachael (Lynn) Kem-me of Michigan, Lynn (Jim) Skorna of Michigan, Carrie Roch of Michigan and Diane (Doug) Zybrands of Connecticut; and several nieces. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Henry Frazier, and his paternal grandparents: Frank and Irene Roch.

Caleb graduated from Champaign Centennial High School and was attending Parkland pursing a degree in criminal justice. He worked as a security officer for Market Place Mall in Champaign and was a member of the Champaign Police Department family.

He was a member of the Windsor Road Christian Church where he played on their softball team. He enjoyed playing baseball and softball and was an avid Cubs fan. He loved riding his motorcycle and was an avid gun enthusiast.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Champaign Cops for Kids, c/o the Caleb Roch Fund, 82 E. University, Champaign, IL 61820.
