DANVILLE — Charles “Uncle Bernie” Reynolds, 84, of Tilton, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014.
He was born April 12, 1930, in Clarence, Mo., the son of George and Iva (Hartgrove) Reynolds.
He is survived by his brother, Don (Donna) Reynolds of Danville; his sister, Betty Henry of Attica, Ind.; his step-daughter, Linda Race of Hobe Sound, Fla.; his granddaughter, Amy Farrow of Danville; several nieces and nephews; and a truly special friend, Carol Sivils of Tilton.

Bernie was a very caring man. He always was willing to help someone in a time of need. He also was a man who couldn’t sit still. Bernie always was tinkering or fixing something. He loved planting and maintaining his vegetable garden.
Bernie served his country in the United States Army from 1950 to 1953. He also was a member of the American Legion. Above all else, Bernie loved his family, and he will be sorely missed by anyone who was fortunate enough to have known him.
A celebration of Bernie’s life will begin at 2 p.m. Monday May 19, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville. A visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
