Bradley Duane “Brad” Huffman, 63, of Dacula, Ga., passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014.
He was born and raised in Danville, Ill., to Robert R. Huffman and Phyllis J. Weingand Huffman.
Brad graduated from Danville High School in 1968. He was in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1968-1972, serving in Vietnam. Brad graduated from Illinois State University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
He worked in the construction industry from 1976 until 2008, which included owning his own business, Southern Indiana Garage Builders. In 2009, he started Bradz Bladz and worked motorcycle rallies all over the country, where he was known as “The Blade Man.”
Brad enjoyed golf. He loved his family and was dedicated to spending time with them. Brad spent the last years of his life doing what he loved.
Brad was preceded in death by his parents, Robert R. and Phyllis Weingand Huffman, and his stepfather, Charles Joseph “Joe” Blackwell.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara “Barb” Huffman; sons, Kyle R. Huffman of Des Moines, Iowa, and Andrew C. (Elisabeth) Huffman of Vienna, Austria; sisters, Chris Huffman and Jodi Coffman of Danville; brother-in-law, Frank (Connie) Morin of Louisville, Ky.; nephews and nieces, Zach Carlson and Logan Coffman, Ashley (Andy) Wireman, Chad (Melissa) Morin, Jaime Morin and Amber Morin; and several additional relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, with Dr. Lamar Holley officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Hwy, Lawrenceville, Ga.; (770) 277-4550.
