TILTON — Mary Sandborn Lisick, 90, of Tilton, passed away at 1:31 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living in Chrisman.
She was born on Jan. 15, 1924, in Chicago, the daughter of Frank T. and Mary Ann McClanahan McMorrow.
She married Jack Moore in 1941. She later married Michael S. Lisick, and he preceded her in death in 1981.
Survivors include one son, Michael W. (Jackie) Moore of Georgetown; two granddaughters, Susan (Tim) Gombosch and Amber (Nick) Brown; great-grandchildren, Kathryn (Randy) Kennedy, Kristen and Kimberly Tuggle, Kaleb and Paige Brown, Kierstyn (Shane) Paris and Katelyn Kennedy; and great-great-grandchildren, Chase and Kenley Kennedy and Maddox Paris.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Thomas Morrow.
Mary graduated from Utterback-Brown Business College. She worked for Skell Gas for over 35 years. She started working in Kansas City before transferring multiple times, ending up in Danville.
Mary was a member of the Organization of China Painters and Country Garden China Guild of Danville. She was involved in Faith in Action and involved with polling (voting) in Tilton.
Mary enjoyed knitting and china painting and was a past member of the Christian Science Church. She was famous for her desserts and keeping in touch with everyone. The family would like to thank the staff at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living in Chrisman for the wonderful care.
Funeral services: 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, at Robison Chapel in Catlin, with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating. Burial in: Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Westville. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday before the service at Robison Chapel. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or charity of donor’s choice.
