WEST PLAINS, Mo. — Memorial services for Kenneth “Ken” Paul Lientz, 72, will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at Davis Creek Community Church Howell County, Mo.
He was born the son of the late Marion Eugene Lientz and Eva Allen Lientz on Aug. 12, 1941, in Danville and died April 29, 2014, in West Plains, Mo.
He was united in marriage May 26, 1962, in Stone Bluff, Ind., to Barbara Chezem.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Chezem Lientz, of the home, West Plains; three children, Brian Wesley Lientz and wife, Karey, Republic, Mo., Andrew David Lientz and wife, Melinda, Plant City, Fla., and Kendra Jo Cockrum, state of Texas; one brother, David Allen Lientz and wife, Diane, Springfield; and three grandchildren, Shelise Lientz, Tampa, Fla., Deshia Cockrum, West Plains, Mo., and Chelsee Davis, West Plains, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Martin Eugene “Bud” Lientz.
He was employed with Amyx Manufacturing Company for 25 years. He was a pastor for several churches in different areas but was pastor for Davis Creek Community Church in Howell County, Mo.
He and his wife traveled many miles throughout the United States on their Honda Gold Wing motorcycle. He also sang for several years with the Traveler’s Gospel Quartet while living in Texas. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy football fan.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
