PARIS — Franklin “Buster” Eugene Hollingsworth Sr., 67, of Paris, Ill., passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
He was born on Sept. 27, 1946, in Chrisman to Donald Eugene and Margaret Rose (Powell) Hollingsworth.
He married Ruby Smith in 1974, Peggy Smith in 1977 and Sally Kistler in 1983. They all preceded him in death.
He was a member of Chrisman American Legion Post 477, Paris American Legion Post 211, the 40&8, Masonic Bloomfield Lodge 148, Scottish Rite – Valley of Danville, Ansar Shrine, Edgar County Shrine Club and the Paris V.F.W. Post 3601. He enjoyed watching football, NASCAR and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He proudly served our country in the Army.
Frank is survived by four children: Franklin (Hope) Hollingsworth Jr. of Terre Haute, Ind., Donnetta (Jason) Burgess of Chrisman, Bobbi Jo Hollingsworth of Brazil, Ind., and Rose Hollingsworth of Indianola; one brother, George Hollingsworth of Muncie, Ind.; one sister, Mary Forsythe of Chrisman; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three wives.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at Krabel Funeral Home in Chrisman. Masonic rites will be performed at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 24, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Indianola.
