---- — Faith LaRue Emery, 50, of Danville, passed away at 12:11 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2014, at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. Per her wishes Faith will be cremated and no public services will be held.

Faith was born May 10, 1963, to John Edward and Elizabeth LaRue (Hunt) Emery in Danville. She attended North East Grade School and Danville High School. Faith worked at Danville Floral for many years and later on became a stay at home mom with her two boys, as well as being the mother to anyone of their friends that walked through the door. She was a very caring lady. Faith was an active volunteer for the Salvation Army, Relay for Life, as well as many other volunteer organizations. She loved helping others.

Faith married her loving husband Scott Herlihy on Oct. 20, 1990, in Greenville, SC. He survives. Also surviving are her two sons, Curtis Atkinson of California and Korey Emery of Danville; four grandchildren, Maddisen Emery, Benjamin Atkinson, Gabriel Atkinson, and Jaydon Atkinson; her mother, Elizabeth Emery of Danville; one brother, Clay Emery of California; three sisters, Denise Wadsworth, Darla Booher, and Diane Emery, all of South Carolina, and DeeDee (Loni) Miller of Danville. She was preceded in death by her father; one son, Joshua Shane Atkinson; and her grandparents. Faith will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Guest register: www.papemortuary.com
