MUNCIE — Janice Elaine Rebmann, 79, of Muncie, left this life Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Danville Care Center in Danville.

Services will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, at Pape Memorial Home, 10 E. Williams St. in Danville, with the Rev. David Garver officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.

The family asks memorials be made to The Grotto Humanitarian Foundation, 430 Beecher Road, Gahanna, OH, 43230.

Janice was born on Sept. 12, 1933, to Norman Ernest and Opal Viola (Smith) Reed.

She attended Tilton Grade School and Danville High School, graduating in 1951.

She married John Paul Rebmann on May 31, 1952, and began her life with him and her life’s work — raising the children they had together.

Janice was a longtime member of Muncie Baptist Church and the Gao Grotto, Daughters of Mokanna. She enjoyed reading, sporting events, bowling, hosting their big family holidays and spending time with her family.

Janice leaves behind her husband of over 60 years, John; three daughters, Sheryl (Victor) Pawlak, Vicki (Henry) Rush and Catherine (Tom) Hendricks; two sons, Michael (Nancy) Rebmann and David (Elizabeth) Rebmann; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Mardelle) Reed; and a sister, Joyce (Robert) Verzal.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James Lawrence Reed; and a son, James Alan Rebmann.
