Brenda S. Falconio


WESTVILLE — Brenda S. Falconio, 55, of Westville, passed away at 1:45 a.m. EDT Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born Dec. 29, 1957, in Danville, a daughter of Alvin L. and Martha E. Pichon Nelson.

She married Robert L. Falconio Feb. 7, 1981, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Westville. He survives.

Also surviving are her children, Sara (Jeremy) Humphrey of Paris and Eric Falconio of Westville; her mother, Martha Nelson of Danville; a sister, Janice (Mark) Brasel of Danville; two brothers, Alvin “Butch” Nelson of Covington, Ind., and Bob (Rhonda) Sprouls of Aurora, Colo.; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Henry Falconio of Westville; five sisters-in-law, Linda (Joe) Sanford in California, Diane (Joe) Shapuras of Westville, Marcia (Jack) Good of Indianapolis, Patti (David) Leader and Ann (Danny) Rudd, both of Westville; two brothers-in-law, Richard Falconio and John Falconio, both of Westville; and a grandchild on the way.

She was preceded in death by her father; and a brother-in-law, Paul (Stacey) Falconio.

Brenda was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and enjoyed bowling and softball. She worked at Eagle in Tilton until its closing.

Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 18, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with Fr. Timothy Sauppe officiating. Burial will be in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Westville. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with parish Rosary at 6 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the family. Rortvedt Funeral Services & Crematory in Tilton is assisting the family.
