INDIANOLA — Donald Eugene Crowe, 90, of Indianola, passed away at 9:55 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at his home, with his whole loving family at his side.

Donald was born April 24, 1922, in Chrisman to Edgar and Florence Olson Crowe.

He married Patricia Ann Sexton on Dec. 2, 1951, in Paris. She survives. They were married 61 years.

Also surviving are two daughters and their husbands, who also were like sons to him, Kathy (Kevin) Suchaczewski of Chrisman, and Linda (Bruce) Darr of Fairmount; four grandchildren, Kimberly (Harley) Fudge of Dennison, Kristopher (Crystal) Suchaczewski of Danville, Derek (Lacee) Darr of Catlin, and Amanda Darr of Fairmount; and five great-grandchildren, Garrett, Kaleb and Megan Suchaczewski, and Haley and Taylyr Fudge.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Trenton Darr; and a great-grandson, Dylan Suchaczewski.

Donald attended Chrisman schools and began farming at a very early age and has continued to be involved with his son-in-law Kevin in the farming decisions over the past 37 years.

He was always proud of his cars and machinery and always wanted them kept clean and shining. Donald loved mowing his yard and did so through this past summer. He enjoyed Indy and NASCAR racing and watching the Illini basketball games.

Don loved his wife, Patricia, daughters, Kathy and Linda, and their families. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren would always bring a smile to his face.

Funeral services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Robison Chapel, Catlin, Charlie Graul and Darren Johnson officiating. Burial in: Woodland Cemetery, Chrisman. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Friday at Robison Chapel, Catlin.
