Shirley Irene Cundiff, 62, of Danville, died at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams, Danville, with Pastor William Wiggins officiating. Visitation: 2-5 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at Pape’s. Burial: Hebron Cemetery at Newtown.
Shirley was born March 29, 1951, in Danville to Charles Wayne and Barbara Jean Hall Pruitt.
She attended Fithian grade school and graduated from Jamaica High School.
She had been a truck driver for several years, CNA at Danville Care and Gifford Nursing Home, cook at I-74 Oakwood Auto Truck Plaza, manager of Coach Light Mobile Home Park of Tilton and Sycamore Estates Mobile Park of Hegeler. She was a former member of Alvin Church of God. She enjoyed bingo and fishing.
Shirley married Larry Lee Cundiff Sr. on Jan. 12, 1968, in Danville by Coroner Don Goodwin. He survives.
Also surviving are six children, Kimberly Powell, Robert (April) Cundiff, Larry Lee Cundiff II, David Cundiff, Sandy Cundiff and Kyle Cundiff; seven grandchildren, Kayla, Hunter and Tyler Powell, Brandon, Austin and Summer Cundiff and Beaux Cundiff; one great-grandson, Mikel Ryan Lee Powell; and four brothers, Kenneth (Connie) Pruitt, Jack (Cheryl) Pruitt, Allen (Rickie) Pruitt and Richard (Sue) Pruitt.
She was preceded by her parents; grandparents; a son, Larry Lee Cundiff Jr.; and an infant brother.
