KANSAS CITY, Mo. —
Barbara Jean Story passed away at 2:15 p.m. Feb. 12, 2013, at Garden Valley Nursing Home on Barry Road in Kansas City, Mo. Her son and his wife were by her side.
She was born July 10, 1928, in Danville, Ill., to Harry Irvin and Josie (Thurman) Anderson. She was 84 years old.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Austin, Allen, Mary, Harry Irvin “Tony” and Kathleen.
She was married to widower William H. “Bill” Story Jr. They had two children: a daughter, Emily Jean Waddell, and a son, Harry Irvin “Butch” Story. She also raised her stepchildren, Janice Lorraine Caligiuri of Arkansas and Wayne Douglas Story of Southeast Kansas. She had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Barbara was a secretary for G.L. Newsom Used Cars and owned J & J Title Service in her home for years.
