Judith L. “Judy” King, 68, of Danville, passed away at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013, at home.
She was born Feb. 5, 1945, in Rossville, a daughter of Marion and Marjorie Wienke Ellis.
She married Albert King. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by three daughters, Julie Mowery of Georgetown, Tina Arrasmith of Westville and Vina Thompson of Catlin; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Delmer Jynella of Danville; four sisters, Betty Weaver of Spencer, Okla., June Haas of Oakwood, Beverly Kelley of Port Byron and Theresa Hopkins of Danville; and her fiancé, Jim Pierce of Danville and his family.
She also was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Smith.
Judy was a volunteer at Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System. She was a member of American Legion Post 210 Auxiliary and Eagles Lodge in Olney.
She enjoyed gardening, going to the Mississippi River, jigsaw puzzles, reading and volunteer work.
According to her wishes, she will be cremated, and there will be no services.
