SIDELL — The Lord called Bradley Michael Guthrie home at 8:37 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2014. He was met by his loving grandparents and is now resting in God’s arms.
He was born Jan. 6, 1985, in Danville to Michael Dean and Darlene Kay Fitzsimmons Guthrie.
Brad graduated from Jamaica High School. He was an outstanding football player and was proud of being an all-county and all-area lineman.

Megan Mitchell, Bradley’s girlfriend, said, “He was a big man with a big heart.” He had a big personality and a mind like a youngster. He enjoyed his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Brad is survived by his parents, of Sidell; two brothers, Brett (Missy) Guthrie, of Fairmount, and Brian Guthrie, of Oakwood; two nephews, Brandon Guthrie and Tate Guthrie; four nieces, Miriah Guthrie, Shelby Guthrie, Hannah Guthrie and Madison Guthrie; his girlfriend, Megan Mitchell; and his friends, Zach Lyons and Cole Gooch.
Bradley attended Sidell United Methodist Church and was baptized at the Fairmount Quarry. He loved music and all sports. He was a caregiver at Our Direction in Marion.
