Roberta “Jeanie” Wills, 75, of Danville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 6, from 2-5 p.m. at Pape Family Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2014, at Pape Family Funeral Home with Pastors Mark Keyser and Tony Goss officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Jeanie was born on Nov. 17, 1938, in Sublette to Robert and Cecil (Allen) Nice. She attended Danville schools, graduating from Danville High School in 1956. Throughout the years, Jeanie worked at Eureka Printing, Osco Drugs and Woolworth, all while raising her family. She enjoyed scrapbooking, working puzzles and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Jeanie was a longtime member of Ridgeview Baptist Church.
Jeanie married Harry Wills on April 27, 1957, at EUB Church in Danville, and the two shared over 57 wonderful years together. Survivors include her children, Robert (Kelley) Wills, Allison (JR) Williamson, Stephen (Brandi) Wills and David (Tamera) Wills; nine grandchildren, Elizabeth, Nathaniel, Carter, Tyler, Alexander, Erika, Christopher, Dylan and Zachary; three great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Blayze and Owen; a sister, Margerie (Gary) Wyman; two nieces, Jennifer and Jessica; and a nephew, Mark. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Norma Nice.
