Peter Grantier Davis, 68, of Danville, passed away at 7:15 p.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home in Danville.
Per his wishes, Peter will be cremated, and a memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 21, at the First Nazarene Church, with pastors Dave Anderson and Ken Pavlick officiating. His ashes will then be laid to rest in Partlow Cemetery in Armstrong by his family.
Peter was born on March 26, 1945, in Buffalo, N.Y., to Alton and Helen (Waugh) Davis.
He attended Rochester, N.Y., schools and later both the University of Rochester and Penn State, graduating with a master’s degree in math.
Peter worked throughout the years at Hurletron, Bell & Howe, Rockwell Collins Printing Division and Charles Industries, retiring in 2007, and going on to work at Solo Cup for a few more years. Peter was a computer analyst and enjoyed visiting steam museums, amateur radio and CB, antique radios and collecting.
Peter married Janice Foster in May of 1979, and she survives. Also surviving is an aunt, Mary Davis; a nephew, Ray Davis; a niece, Carol (Paul Sr.) Roberts; a brother-in-law, Gene (Libby) Foster; a sister-in-law, Mary (Jack) Foster; and several nieces and nephews.
