SPRINGFIELD — Roselyn R. Fay, 90, of Springfield, passed away at 9:42 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2013, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

Roselyn was born Jan. 1, 1923, in Armstrong, the daughter of Elza and Kate (Blakney) Roberts.

She is survived by two sons, Gary (Carole) Fay of Bloomington and Bob Fay of Springfield; two grandchildren, Lisa Fay of Aurora and Mike Fay of Pawnee, Ill.; one great-grandson, Devon; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter; one brother, Russell Roberts; and two sisters, Ruth Knight and Betty Duitsman.

Roselyn graduated from Armstrong High School and attended accounting classes at SIUE. She worked for several years at the Department of Natural Resources in Springfield as a Senior Accountant until her retirement.

Roselyn’s true love was being around horses and helping family and friends whenever she could.

A Celebration of Roselyn’s life will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at Wolfe-Blurton Funeral Home in Potomac, with Pastor Sally Swaim officiating. Burial will follow at Partlow Cemetery in Armstrong. Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
