Richard Adolph Wiebusch

BURLINGTON, Ind. — Richard Adolph Wiebusch, 88, of Burlington, Ind., passed away at 3:18 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at North Woods Village in Kokomo, Ind.

He was born Jan. 31, 1923, in Mt Vernon, Ill., to George and Zada Hudgins Wiebusch.

He married Marguerite Kersey Feb. 22, 1964, in Aurora, Ill. She survives.

Richard retired in January 1993 from Chrysler in Kokomo, Ind., where he worked for the engineering department for 30 years.

He was also a life member of the American Society of Manufacturing Engineers. Throughout his life he enjoyed playing guitar and working on photography, until recent years when Richard was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.

Survivors include his wife, Marguerite Kersey Wiebusch, Burlington, Ind.; daughters, Sharon Langdon, Chesapeake, Va., and Melanie (Gary) Stalter, Kokomo, Ind.; daughters-in-law, Joey Wiebusch, Kokomo, Ind., and Kerry (Cindy) Kopkey, Fulton, N.Y.; sons, John Kopkey, Winamac, Ind., James Kopkey, Noblesville, Ind., David Kopkey, Kokomo, Ind., and Jeff Kopkey, Mesa, Ariz.; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Herman Wiebusch; mother, Zada Hudgins Wiebusch; daughter, Cynthia Ann Wiebusch; son, Richard Francise Wiebusch; sister, Georgine Clayton; brothers, Sidney Wiebusch, Everett Wiebusch and Bennett Wiebusch; son-in-law, Lt. Cmdr. Bruce Langdon; and grandson, Chad Kopkey.
