---- — Jack Nelson Taylor, 82, passed away at his home in Indianapolis on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013.
He was born on Aug. 17, 1931, in Danville, to Buford and Madge (Boucier) Taylor, who preceded him in death.
He married Betty Jean Talbert on May 3, 1953, in Danville.
Surviving him are his loving wife of 60 years, Betty (Talbert) Taylor. Also surviving are his children, Shelley (Mike) Lazzell, Mike (Betsy) Taylor and Jamie (Todd) Hustel, and grandchildren, Nathan (Lindsey) Lazzell, Emily Lazzell, Zachary Taylor, Katie Braman, Megan, Jack, Matthew and Claire Hustel; one great-grandson, Caden Lazzell; one brother, Charles Taylor; one sister-in-law, Polly Loeffler; and many nieces and nephews.
Jack loved family and enjoyed being with them.
He was retired from R&S Printing Co., after which he pursued his love of golf daily. He was a member of Vermilion Heights Christian Church. He was an avid Cardinals fan.
A celebration of Jack’s life will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, with Kenny Boswick officiating. A visitation will be 1-3 p.m. prior to the service. Entombment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
