Dottie attended schools in Catlin, graduated from cosmetology school in 1958, then furthered her education later in life with an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science from DACC. She owned and operated Dottie’s Beauty Shop from her home for over 35 years, then worked in the office at AutoZone Warehouse Distribution Center where she retired in 2004.

Dottie loved all the people she met through her many years as a beautician and office assistant. She forever cherished her friends and co-workers.

Dottie loved spending time with her family and many, many friends. She was one of the original members of a local euchre club.
