WILLIAMSPORT, Ind. — Jeffery “Jeff” W. Barnhart, 53, of Williamsport, died at 10:49 a.m. EDT Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Jeff was born in Williamsport on Oct. 29, 1959. He was the son of Leroy E. and Evelyn Louise (Stout) Barnhart.
He was a Warren County resident all of his life and a 1978 graduate of Seeger High School. Jeff was a farmer, and had worked for Stewart Grain and Williamsport Elementary School.
Jeff was a member of the Williamsport Christian Church. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of farm animals, especially poultry and dairy cows. He loved collecting tools and enjoyed old family photos. His favorite movie was “The Wizard of Oz” and favorite TV show was “Andy Griffith.”
Surviving are: father, Leroy E. Barnhart of West Lebanon; two sons, Ramey Barnhart of Lafayette and Kyle Barnhart, who is studying philosophy at Indiana State University in Terre Haute; four brothers, Stephen L. Barnhart of Nashville, Tenn., Rick Barnhart (Carla) of Lafayette, Mike Barnhart (Lori) of Williamsport and Kevin Scott Barnhart of West Lebanon.
Jeff was preceded in death his mother, Evelyn Barnhart; uncle, Gerald Stout; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. EDT Saturday, Oct. 26, at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport. Private graveside service will be conducted at a later date at Highland Cemetery in Williamsport with Pastor Don Williams officiating.
