DANVILLE — Ora Makaya Jones (Kaya), 8, went on to play with the angels on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at 11:02 a.m. at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center, Danville.

Kaya was born to Ora Marie Dumas and Kenneth Jones Jr. in Danville on June 18, 2005. Kaya attended East Park School, Kaya was a cheerleader for the Carver Bears, and enjoyed singing, dancing and playing.

She leaves to cherish her memory her parents; six brothers, Kenneth III, Travevon, Kamron, Marquise, Mhykell and Kamarion all of Danville; two sisters, Kendreah and Nasira both of Danville; maternal grandmother, Ora Dumas; maternal grandfather, Richard Dumas; paternal grandfather, Kenneth (Jacqueline) Jones Sr.; her best friend, Khyzhai Rapier; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins,

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Cassandra Jones; and great-grandmothers, Ora Seward and Mary E. Harvey.

A celebration of life will commence at noon Monday, Feb. 3, at New Life Church of Faith 1419 N. Bowman Ave., Danville. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Officiating Pastor Lee A. Reed. Interment Sanhill Memorial Park. Leek & Sons Funeral Home 304 East Williams Street, Danville, in charge of arrangements.
