GEORGETOWN — Mary Wanda Lindsay, 69, of Georgetown, passed away at 2:57 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana.
She was born Nov. 20, 1944, in Trumann, Ark., a daughter of Raymond W. and Armenda E. West Brigman.
She married Delbert E. Lindsay on Aug. 19, 1962, in Fairmount, and he survives.
Also surviving are her children, Teresa Jo (Paul) Gaukstad of Jordan, Minn., and James E. Lindsay of Indianapolis; a sister, Linda Hinkle of Georgetown; a brother, Carl (Elaine) Brigman of Catlin; four grandchildren, Holden Lindsay, Brian Gaukstad, Armenda (Joey) Trigger and Kara Lindsay; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmie and Johnny Brigman, and a sister, Arlene Underwood.
Wanda worked as a pharmacy technician at Wal-Mart, retiring in 2009. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Nelson-Lucking Post 47 in Hastings, Minn. She enjoyed flower gardening.
Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at First Baptist Church in Fairmount with the Rev. Mike Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
