Robert 'Bob' William Edenburn

---- — Robert “Bob” William Edenburn, 82, of Potomac, passed away at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Bob was born on Feb. 20, 1931, in Potomac, the son of Arthur and Flossie (Larkin) Edenburn.

He married Margaret Downing on Aug. 19, 1951, in Potomac. She survives.

He also is survived by four daughters, Shirley (Steve) Moore of Midline, Texas, Mary Ann (Michael) Simpson of Danville, Patricia (John) Barnett of Potomac and Debra Kay (Paul) Owens of Bismarck; four sons, Bobby (Debbie) Edenburn of Champaign, Gary (Mary) Edenburn of Potomac, Ron Edenburn of Potomac and Donnie Edenburn of Potomac; 10 grandchildren, Theresa (Chris) Emerson, Clayton Edenburn, Jason (Sarah) Edenburn, Amber (Kyle) Charlesworth, Erica Fraley, Shawn Edenburn, Sarah Edenburn, Matthew Owens, Adam Owens and Stephen Moore; six great-grandchildren, Macey Moore, Rylan Emerson, Caden Emerson, Kamryn Edenburn, Chasey Edenburn and Ivan Charlesworth; two brothers, Charles (Margaret) Edenburn of Rantoul and James (Judy) Edenburn of Potomac; one sister, Delcena (Lawrence) Austin of Tilton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Edenburn; sister, Doris Pichon; brother, Frank Edenburn; and a granddaughter, Tina Hayn.

Bob served in the United States Army from 1948-1968, until he retired. He later worked at ESCO and Jameson Steel. Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, being outdoors and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed traveling to Kentucky with his wife, Margaret.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded by the Wolfe-Blurton Funeral Home in Potomac. Burial will be in Partlow Cemetery, with full military rites conducted by the Potomac American Legion.

Memorials may be made to the Fisher House Foundation, 111 Rockville Pike, Suite 420, Rockville, MD 20850, to assist with housing for veterans or to the donor’s choice.
