Donald Butcher, 57, of North Braddock, Pa., a native of Danville, died unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013.
He is survived by his wife of seven years, Sue Ann (Peterson) Butcher; daughters, Dawn Butcher-Shamblin of West Virginia, Holly Youngberg of Cambridge Springs and Ashlee Youngberg; grandchildren, Ethan, Aiyana, Deziray, Kiley and Emmett; and brothers, James (Dian) Butcher and Timothy (Candy) Butcher, both of Illinois.
Don was a retired operator for AT&T. He was a fan of his hometown teams, the Danville Vikings, the Fighting Illini and St. Louis Cardinals, as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a history and genealogy buff and enjoyed reading, jazz and collecting baseball memorabilia. But, mostly, his passion was spending time with his grandchildren and family.
